NT0003 沙田車公廟 Sha Tin Che Kung Miu

沙田車公廟位於沙田大圍一帶，建於明末崇禎年間，是香港重要的傳統廟宇之一。它與上環文武廟、竹園黃大仙祠及佛堂門天后古廟，並列為香港四大廟宇，尤其在農曆新年期間吸引大量善信前來參拜。錄音於車公廟範圍內進行，可以聽到善信擊打大鼓的聲音，以及廟祝為信眾祈福時的誦唸聲。

Che Kung Temple is located in the Tai Wai area of Sha Tin and was built during the late Ming dynasty in the Chongzhen period. It is one of Hong Kong’s important traditional temples. Together with the Man Mo Temple in Sheung Wan, Wong Tai Sin Temple in Chuk Yuen, and the Tin Hau Ancient Temple at Joss House Bay, it is regarded as one of the four major temples in Hong Kong, and attracts a large number of worshippers, especially during the Lunar New Year. The recording was made inside Che Kung Temple area. The sounds of worshippers striking the large drum can be heard, along with the chanting of temple attendants offering blessings to visitors.
