Ormsby Street is named in honor of Hong Kong’s second Director of Public Works, Robert Daly Ormsby, who served from 1897 to 1901. The recording is situated at the junction of Tai Hang Sun Chun Street and Ormsby Street, where the high-pitched construction sounds from the nearby construction site are clearly captured—such sounds are not commonly heard. Additionally, shouts and foul language from the construction workers can also be heard.
