銅鑼灣高士威道行人天橋（近中央圖書館）

高士威道原為維多利亞港的一部分，舊海岸線位於銅鑼灣道以北。1850年代，政府修築海堤並將其上的道路稱為Causeway，這就是銅鑼灣英文名稱的由來。1883年，海堤經過填海改建為Causeway Road，中文譯作「高士威道」。錄音位置於連接維多利亞公園與中央圖書館的行人天橋上，可以清楚聽到車輛和電車在天橋下行駛的聲音，另外偶然行人走過天橋的腳步和交談聲亦可聽見。

Causeway Road was originally part of Victoria Harbour, with the old coastline located north of Tung Lo Wan Road. In the 1850s, the government constructed a seawall and named the road built on it “Causeway,” which is the origin of the English name for Causeway Bay. In 1883, the seawall was reclaimed and transformed into Causeway Road, translated into Chinese as “高士威道.” The recording is situated on the footbridge connecting Victoria Park and the Central Library, where the sounds of vehicles and trams passing beneath the bridge can be clearly heard, along with occasional footsteps and conversations from pedestrians walking across.
